AutoFLAC is a free script that adds FLAC support to EAC’s (Exact Audio Copy) native functionality. With this tool, you will be able to work directly with your FLAC audio files, and create specific CUE files to be used with both the individual tracks and the image FLAC files created by AutoFLAC – you will not need to convert them back into WAV before burning them to disc. Besides, AutoFLAC can also extract the data tracks present in some enhanced CDs.
AutoFLAC is a small tool that seamlessly integrates with Exact Audio Copy, one of the most accurate and reliable CD rippers available. While taking advantage of EAC’s impressive capability of creating secure rips of your audio CDs, this tool also offers that extra FLAC support that EAC lacks. Its FLAC conversion capabilities may look redundant though, as they are already present in EAC, but AutoFLAC goes beyond that by offering you the possibility of creating specific CUE sheets that work directly with the resulting FLAC files, which will allow you to use EAC to burn your CDs without previously decoding all your audio files.
You can therefore create CUE sheets that make direct reference to FLAC files, load both the audio file and the CUE sheet into AutoFLAC, and let it deal with the whole process in the background. It will decompress your audio files and will make the necessary changes in the CUE sheet so that EAC can burn your audio discs without leaving the program. When the job is done, all the temporary files generated are deleted.
